Residents get up close and personal Zoolab animals

Residents at Flower Park Care Home in Doncaster got up close and personal to some of Zoolab’s pet therapy animals.

The residents took part in some very special pet therapy when they got to handle a frog, snake, a tortoise little hedgehog and mouse.

Amanda Searle, Home Manager, said: “Pet therapy really appeals to the residents as it makes them relax. Here at Flower Park we wanted to do something different with the residents. So instead of having the usual domesticated dog or cat coming in, we called Zoolab and asked them to bring some exotic creatures.

“They didn’t disappoint. Residents, relatives and the team alike all had a fantastic day. Although not everyone was backward in coming forward when it came to holding the snake Zoolab brought in.

“I want to take this opportunity to thank Zoolab for dropping in. You definitely gave our residents, their families and some of the team an experience they’ll never forget.”
