A local RSPB group close to Ringshill Care Home in Huntingdon were recently kind enough to donate a variety of bird feeders, fat balls and seed for the team to put up around the garden to give residents the opportunity to sit and view the wildlife. They also provided the home with a wide range of literature for residents to read and learn about the different visitors that may visit their garden.
As the weather starts to improve, the team thought it would be a good idea to join forces with the RSPB to encourage wildlife to visit the courtyard at Ringshill. The team put up bird feeders around the courtyard so residents could sit and watch the birds just in time for National Nest Box Week.
Katie Wilkinson, Home Manager, told us “The residents take great pleasure from watching the wildlife come into their garden. It sparks conversation between everyone to see if they can identify the different birds from the books donated from the RSPB who we couldn’t thank enough”.
