On Saturday 18th June two Four Seasons care homes worked together to host a spectacular summer fair.
The event saw a number of games including; hook a duck, beat the goalie, a raffle and tombola, plus a bouncy castle for the children and the chance to sponge the Home Managers of both homes.
Rebecca Ashton, Home Manger for Park House, said: “Everyone had a great day, and even the weather stayed dry which was a bonus. It was great to see the local community getting involved and rallying behind the two local care homes. The residents and their families really enjoyed it to. It was nice to hear the young children laughing and joking and watching all of our proud and happy residents.”
As well as games and stalls, visitors were also treated to the usual food and drink and musical entertainment from a local entertainer.
Simon Shaw, Home Manager for Grove House, said: “The event was a great success. We managed to raise over £878 for the two homes. The money will go towards providing special resident experiences for those in our care. We also received a special surprise on the Saturday as we were informed we had been selected by the local Asda store to take part in their green token scheme, which means we could be awarded and extra £500. Thank you to everyone for making the day a success, and raising so much money for our residents.”
