The team at Castle Lodge Care Home in Antrim have been awarded a top accolade which recognises their commitment to providing exceptional care to their residents.
Home Manager Una Brady and her team were nominated for a ROCK (Recognition of Care and Kindness) award by a resident’s relative, and last week they were presented with their award.
The nomination read: “Una and her team have been exceptional. From day one they understood Mum's needs and have showed care and empathy whilst looking after her. Whilst care homes have in been in the news quite a bit over the last few years, we are so quick to jump on the band wagon when something goes wrong and certainly apprehensive on what and how care is provided. Not once did we ever consider this with Castle Lodge.
“My Father visits my Mum every day and has also found the care team helpful and attentive as well as offering a cup of tea to him from time to time understanding how challenging it is for the families to deal with too.
“Your team have been fantastic, and an absolute credit to your company, your core values, and work ethics really do make such a difference in providing a quality service to all the residents there just not Mum.”
Una Brady, Home Manager, said: “We’re extremely humbled to receive this award. I want to thank the lady for her nomination and kind words. They really mean a lot. The team here do their upmost to care for our residents and respect them. I’m very proud of my team. We will continue to deliver the high standards we’ve been praised for.”
A ROCK award is a nationwide honour that specifically highlights the impact a Four Season Health Care employee has made on the lives of people living in one of their care homes. An internal prize, staff are nominated for an award by either residents, their relatives or friends, who have witnessed or experienced staff members demonstrating excellent standards of care and kindness in their role.
