It’s been a time of celebration for the team at Half Acre House Care Home in Radcliffe as they celebrate a number of achievements in the home.
The first achievement is that the whole team have been recognised for their care and kindness in the form of two ROCK awards in 12 months.
Melissa Johnson, Home Manager said: “We have an excellent team here and a lot of hard work and dedication has been put into delivering high standards of person centered care to all of our residents. I love coming to work and seeing what the day will bring. Well done again team.”
The home was nominated for a ROCK award by numerous relatives after they witnessed, first hand, the care provided to their loved ones.
A ROCK award is a nationwide honour that specifically highlights the impact a Four Season Health Care employee has made on the lives of people living in one of their care homes or day centre. An internal prize, staff are nominated for an award either by residents, their relatives, or friends, who have witnessed or experienced staff members demonstrating excellent standards of care and kindness in their role.
The home also celebrated getting their 6 Steps Accreditation , which means they can provide enhanced end of life care for those who need it.
Melissa Johnson added: “Everyone has worked hard to ensure the home got this accreditation. A special thanks should go to Pauline Leadon, who is our ‘End of Life Care Champion’ and has put a lot of time into ensuring everyone is up to speed with the news skills the programme teaches you. The 6 Steps is a special enhanced service, and isn’t something everyone offers. The knowledge the team has, helps everyone at what is a difficult time.”
