The team at Holybourne Cay Centre in Roehampton have been given a Recognition of Care and Kindness (ROCK) award after being nominated by service users and their families.
Holybourne is a purpose built day centre, which provides a caring, therapeutic, stimulating and safe environment for older people suffering with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
Relatives of service users nominated the team for the award after highlighting the continued hard work and dedication from everyone at the centre who ensure that the service users are at the heart of everything they do, and are treated with respect and dignity. A further award was presented to Christine Smith, the Day Centre Manager for her continued commitment motivating her team to maintain the highest of standards.
Christine Smith said: “The whole team is so appreciative of being recognised in this way. We will continue to deliver the excellent service we are being commended for and look forward to thanking the people who nominated us.”
A ROCK award is a nationwide honour that specifically highlights the impact a Four Season Health Care employee has made on the lives of people living in one of their care homes or day centre. An internal prize, staff are nominated for an award either by residents, their relatives, or friends, who have witnessed or experienced staff members demonstrating excellent standards of care and kindness in their role.
