The Laurels Care Home in Hetton-le-Hole is celebrating the success of Care Assistants Louise Harrison and Heather Headon after they successfully graduated from the Care Home Assistant Practitioner (CHAP) programme.
Helen Bell, Care Home Manager said: “Everyone here congratulates Louise and Heather on their success. We’ve supported them every step of the way and it’s great to see their hard work pay off. They are a great asset to the home, and provide fantastic support to the residents here. They’re a great part of the team. Well done again! I can’t wait to see you putting your new skills to use.”
The newly qualified CHAPs is now able to provide some general nurse duties, such as medication rounds. This benefit’s the home as it enables the nurse to deal with more complex issues.

You have come through this long journey, and I want to thank you for your commitment and continued dedication. I also was to thank the mentors for their continuous help and support.
