The Lodge Care Home in Killamarsh went all out as it celebrated Victory in Europe (VE) Day.
To mark the 71st Anniversary, the home was decorated with Union Jack bunting, and welcomed singer Paul Anthony who came in to entertain the residents. The resident enjoyed swapping stories and sharing a small tipple whilst dancing the afternoon away.
As well as celebrating that historic day, residents and the team embraced a regional Glamour Day, held in memory of a colleague. Resident embraced their inner glamour puss by having their hair, nails and make-up done before donning their best outfit.
Janet McVeigh, Home Manager said: “We have a lot of fun here at The Lodge. All of our residents have a fab time, doing all of the different activities with the team.
“The Glamour Day was a great success and we raised money for Dr Kershaw’s Hospice, all in memory of a beloved colleague. Thank you to everyone who took part and donated money.”
