More than 30 big hearted bikers rocked up to The Sycamores & Poplars Care Home in Mansfield on Sunday 3rd April, bringing with them a late delivery of Easter eggs. Once the bikers had personally delivered an egg to everyone in the home, they settled down with a cup of tea and a hot cross bun and swapped tales of the open road.
Dawn Karen, Activities Coordinator said: “It’s not every day a big group of Gothic bikers come for a visit; they were all made very welcome. Residents, family and visitors were so excited, they came out to see the bikers in all their leather gear, the banter was flowing, and some of the residents even sat on the bikes for photos. They were clearly dreaming of the open road, with the sun gleaming off their clean motorcycle taking in the breath-taking views. The residents were thrilled to bits by the generosity of everyone who came, and I’m sure it’ll be talked about for a while!”
