When the local allotments in Warmley held their scarecrow competition, they weren’t expecting to see a family of scarecrows heading their way.
When residents from Warmley House Care Home in Warmley, heard of the competition they got to work.
Sue Horsewell, Home Manager, explained: “The residents got their creative juices flowing when they started creating the scarecrows. They created a family of four, complete with baby, brother, mum and dad. The residents won 1st prize in the competition which they were ecstatic about. The scarecrows will now take pride of place in the allotment and be put to work.
“I want to congratulate Mary Monks, Sheila Wray, Norman Taylor and Arthur Lunn on their achievement. Well done everyone, it was a well-deserved win!”
