Residents at Windsor House Care Home in Cannock have been having lots of fun over recent weeks.
Whether they’ve been having themed parties or releasing their home nurtured butterflies; there has definitely been an activity suited for everyone.
Jayne Wood, Home Manager, said: “There has most definitely been lots going on at our home. Every week we have ‘Fun and Fruity Friday’ which gets the residents in the party mood. One week we had a cocktail and mocktail afternoon, enabling the residents to taste lots of different fruits. Another Friday saw a little touch of Mexico come to the home. Nachos and dips were the firm party food favourite.
“When they weren’t partying, residents were waiting patiently for our hungry caterpillars to turn into beautiful butterflies. We had a big release day and residents watched as the butterflies explored our lovely garden.
“We like a good theme day here at Windsor House, and when we were approached by a local lunch club to host a 1940s party for them, we jumped at the chance. Everyone embraced the theme and had a lovely time. The residents enjoyed seeing people from the local community too.”
