The catering team at Woodcot Lodge Care Home in Gosport recently took part in a training session with their Regional Chef to learn some new techniques and ideas.
As we get older and our bodies change, this sometimes means we have to move onto texture modified food. At Four Seasons, we don't want this to effect the taste or the look of food which is why we are training our chefs to make soft food which looks and tastes just as it would as a solid.
Woodcot Lodge's catering team have been hard at work to perfect the texture modified food alongside other tasty meals for the residents as you can see in the images above.
Vickie Wylde, Home Manager, told us: "The kitchen team here are fantastic and have worked so hard to make sure the meals are kept as tasty but as safe as possible with the texture modified food. They were recently awarded a ROCK Award and it's clear to see why! They get so many compliments for the food they produce from both residents and relatives. Well done all, keep up the good work!"
