Birds of prey swoop into the Woodlands

The residents at Woodlands Care Home in Mirfield had a treat when they were visited by the Wise Owl and Birds of Prey Sanctuary.

With some keen bird watchers amongst the residents the team arranged for the birds to come along to let the residents get up close and personal with some lovely birds.

Michelle Brookes, Home Manager, said: “The residents were captivated by the wild birds. Karen loved the Harris Hawk, especially when he sat on her hand. John did his best pirate impression with the help of a little owl and Mick got his photo taken with a beautiful Barn Owl. I want to thank Katrina for bringing the birds in and giving our residents special experiences.”
