Billy Partridge, Home Manager at Wyndthorpe Hall Care Home in Doncaster has joined the relief efforts in helping the flood victims around York. We have all seen the devastation the floods have caused over the past few weeks so Billy is requesting help for those affected.
With the help of Radio Sheffield, Billy has appealed for people in the surrounding areas to bring any items they feel would help those in need to the home which he will then distribute to relief centres. As most are flooded out of their homes, items particularly in need are cleaning products, buckets, mops and new clothing to help people get back on their feet.
Billy explained “relief centres have been set up in York collecting the much needed items. I’m asking for the local public or retailers to give anything they can to the flood victims. The clean-up will be a massive task so cleaning products will be essential. I’ve set up a mini relief centre here at the home for the donated items which I will then take to the relief centres in York. All items will be much appreciated and will certainly be helping a very worthy cause”.
If you’re in the local area and would like to help, please visit the Wyndthorpe Hall contact page where you will find a map and directions to the home.
