Residents from Amelia House Care Home in York have been sampling the menus from eateries close to the home.
The residents have needed very few excuses to make the most of the recent nice weather whilst enjoying the culinary delights on offer from local cafes and pubs.
David Ramage, Home Manager, explained: “The residents here at Amelia House love nothing more than getting out and about. Just because they live in a care home doesn’t mean they can’t do things they enjoy. They’ve enjoyed fish and chips at the Wetherby Whaler and a lovely drink at the Lysander Arms. Now the warmer weather is approaching, I see these outings becoming a regular thing.”
