Residents from Beech House Care Home in Barton-upon-Humber have had a busy month of activities. The main one being a sun flower race, which all the residents are eagerly awaiting the results to see which flower grow the tallest.
Alison Hudspeth-Lamb, Home Manager, said: “What started off as a nice bit of gardening has turned into a fierce competition as the residents are using all of their techniques to encourage their sun flowers to grow. We’ll keep you updated regarding the outcome.”
The residents have also been getting ready for Easter by doing a variety of arts and crafts including making Easter decorations and painting owls. Residents have also enjoyed baking cakes and reminiscing about the good old days. They also welcomed a local entertainer in who helped them to celebrate Dame Vera Lynn’s 100th birthday.
Alison Hudspeth-Lamb added: “Everyone has had so much fun here at Beech House. We’re all looking forward to our ‘Mad Hatter’ themed party on the 19th April to celebrate our recent success during the ‘Your Care Rating’ survey.”
