At Four Seasons Health Care we like to encourage residents to do what makes them happy. By doing activities that they enjoy, it can have a real positive effect on their well-being.
Keith, a resident at Hallgarth Care Home in Durham, took a great interest in a mosaic pattern book during a recent crafts session.
After thumbing through the book, Keith started to make his own mosaic out of coloured plotting paper. He meticulously marked out the pattern, and began cutting the shapes out. He then began to arrange them in a pattern before sticking them down when he was happy with the arrangement.
Angela Muir, Home Manager, said: “We were all interested in Keith’s masterpiece. He enjoyed creating every aspect of the mosaic and it now hangs pride of place in the home. It’s great to see this special experience make a difference to Keith’s day.”
