The residents at Hesslewood House Care Home in Hessle have been getting crafty to ensure their feathered friends have lovely places to nest in the garden.
Residents have been making and painting nesting boxes which they’ve popped around the garden encouraging the local wildlife to settle.
Kate Wilson, Home Manager, explained: “The residents enjoy watching the birds and wanted to give them something back. By making these nesting boxes, they’re hoping to see some baby birds hatch in the coming months.”
