Do you want to find out more about what it’s like living with dementia? The care team at Howdon Care Centre in Wallsend open their doors every Wednesday afternoon between 1.30pm and 4pm where people can come and find out more about dementia.
You can speak to lots of different people, read some of the information from the dementia library and talk through the options about things that can be done to improve your loved ones quality of life.
Ruth Todd, Home Manager, said: “Everyone is welcome to come to our coffee and natter afternoons. There are people willing to listen and talk to you about the situation you’re in so you don’t have to go through it on your own. Please feel free to pop in one day for a chat.”
To find out more information about the café or what’s going on in the home, contact Jade Richardson, the Personal Activities Lead on 0191 2639436.
