Residents at Howdon Care Centre is Wallsend have been enjoying a variety of different activities helping them to celebrate a number of recent events at the home.
Firstly, the home got their best bakers hat on as they celebrated Red Nose Day. The residents hosted a coffee morning inviting their nearest and dearest and members of the local community. The residents baked some goodies to sell during the coffee morning, with one resident sharing the recipe of her mother’s famous chocolate cake, which went down a treat.
Another day of crafts saw the residents creating Easter bonnets and boaters in preparation for the parade during the Easter Fayre.
Ruth Todd, Home Manager, said: “The residents enjoyed creating their bonnets and boaters. They accessorised them using a variety of coloured ribbons, glittery eggs, fluffy chicks and baby bunnies. It was a hard choice choosing the winner as they were all so good.
“All of the activities that we hold here at Howdon are a huge success with our residents here. It’s great to see them all enjoying themselves.”
