The care team at Laurels Lodge Care Home in Woodside put on something extra special for the residents at Christmas.
The team dressed up as Mrs Claus and performed a variety of songs and dance routines for the residents and their families. After the Mrs. Claus group had finished, local entertainer Norman McDonald provided some extra music which saw residents and relatives dance with various Mrs. Claus.
Sheila Gesma, Home Manager, said: “The residents’ Christmas parties were fun and a great success! Our theme this year was Mrs. Klaus and I was proud to see my team joining in and dressed up as Mrs. Klaus on both parties. The relatives were in awe of the show, the staff choir did another performance this year and entertained the residents, relatives and visitors with Christmas songs and dance. There was a great turn out of visitors and our Christmas raffle was also a big success raising just short of £400 for our residents fund! It seemed that everybody enjoyed the party.
“I want to thank everyone who came to the parties. Here’s to Christmas 2017.”
