Residents, relatives and the team at Laurels Lodge Care Home in Woodside celebrated International Women’s Day in style by holding a very posh tea party, complete with fancy hats and the best china.
Everyone enjoyed a selection of lovely cakes, biscuits and shortbread washed down with a warm cup of tea whilst reminiscing about their younger years and what made them great as women, for many this was motherhood.
Marlene Smith, Personal Activities Leader, said: “We all had a great time celebrating International Women’s Day. It was emotional listening to the ladies stories about their life back in their heyday. We rounded off the event by shouting ‘cheers to us all’. Girl power definitely reigned supreme in Laurels Lodge.”
