There’s nothing nicer than feeling the wind in your hair on a lovely day as you go on a bike ride.
For many people living in a care home, riding a bike can be a distant memory. However, Lynn Smith, Personal Activities Leader at Middleton Hall Care Home in Uphall has signed up to be a volunteer driver for cycling without age.
Ann Simpson, Home Manager, said: “Once Lynn passes her cycling proficiency we will be able to hire the trishaw and take residents out on them. They’ll be able to feel the wind in their hair, and enjoy being a cyclist without the work of peddling. We’re all really excited and Lynn can’t wait to get on the road, to give the residents a special experience.
