Home-made bird feeders help residents to spot wildlife

Residents at Old Vicarage Care Home in Worksop have a passion for wildlife. So much so that they created a variety of snacks from various delicacies for the birds and the squirrels to enjoy.

Pauline Clews, Home Manager, said: “A group of residents got together to make bird feeders out of crusts of bread, peanut butter and bird seed. The finished products looked good enough to eat, but before anyone could have a nibble they were taken outside and hung up for the birds and squirrels to enjoy.

The resident sat back and enjoyed the fruits of their labour as they watched the wildlife feed."
