Santa Claus definitely came to Halifax town. He even stopped for a cup of tea, slice of cake and a chat with residents at Pellon Care Centre on Christmas Day.
Laura Clegg, Home Manager, said: “We were all really surprised when Santa and his elf dropped by. We certainly didn’t expect them to stay for a chat. However, whilst they were with us they sampled one of our resident family’s Christmas cake which was a delicious treat. Alas Santa and his helped couldn’t stay all day, hey had to get back to their important work. The residents certainly enjoyed meeting him though.”
Once Christmas was out of the way, the residents decided how they’d like to spend New Year’s Eve.
“The most obvious choice was the local pub,” explained Laura Clegg. “The residents opted to enjoy a meal and a nice tipple to bring in the New Year rather than a party. It was a very serene and sophisticated affair.”
