Residents, relatives and the care team at Pennine Lodge Care Home in Carlisle turned a nice shade of red as they worked together to raise money for Comic Relief.
Everyone partook in a number of activities including cycling to Bratislava (or as close as possible) with Regional Manager Daniel Cleough and Home Manager Debbie Seaton leading the charge.
Debbie Seaton explained: “The cycle ride started at 6am and was a fun and easy way to get fit and raise some cash. Resident Elizabeth Frankin sprayed her hair red and the other residents enjoyed a slice of Malteaser bunny cake with some afternoon tea. Everyone enjoyed themselves, and had some fun raising money for a good cause. However, I don’t think Daniel will want to ride a bike wearing a suit again.”
