Living in a care home doesn’t mean you have to see the same four walls every day.
Residents at Southfield Court Care Home in Huddersfield made the most of the lovely spring weather as they enjoyed a trip out to a nearby town.
Clare McCourt, Home Manager, said: “For some of our residents the Church has always played an important part in their lives. So they visited All Hallows Church, where they had a look around at the stunning architecture before enjoying a little quiet reflection time. They also paid their respects at the nearby war memorial.
“Another one of our residents enjoyed a trip out to the café in Almondbury for a coffee and a cake. He thoroughly enjoyed himself and liked the change of scenery. Life doesn’t stop just because you live in a care home.”
