Residents from Tudor Grange Care Home in Radcliffe-on-Trent enjoyed a trip out to the Royal British Legion last week to listen to a band.
Anita Wyke, Home Manager, said: “We know how important it is for residents to enjoy themselves outside of the home. Everyone who went out on the visit really had a great time listening to the band. It took some of them back to their younger years. The resident’s didn’t stop smiling when they got back home.”
Esme is a regular visitor to the British Legion, she said: “I enjoy going to the British Legion every week. I always find everyone very friendly. People always come and say hello. I really liked watching the live band and dancing.”
Pam also went on the trip. She said: “It’s nice to get out and enjoy the live band and dancing. Watching the couple dancing the quick step whilst you’re having a cup of tea is nice to see.”
Kathleen and Iris added: “We enjoyed watching the band and the dancing. It reminds us of when we were younger and used to dance.”
