Residents at Whitefield Lodge Care Home in Glasgow invited some guests of a different kind into their home as they indulged in some pet therapy.
Bunny and Co, a local company specialising in Pet Therapy for people in care homes, brought a selection of animals including guinea pigs, rabbits, ducks, mice and hamsters for the residents to pet.
Angela Martin, Home Manager, said: “Animals have a calming effect on people. Whether you settle down and pet a cat or dog, cuddle a guinea pig or rabbit, your stresses just ebb away as you relax. Our residents certainly enjoyed the animals that Bunny and Co brought in. They found it comical that the two ducks that came to visit were called Theresa and May. We’re looking forward to welcoming our furry friends back another time.”
