Staff at Stapleton House went out of their way to make sure resident Paula Purvis’s wedding day would be a day she would never forget.
Every year Four Seasons Health Care supports Macmillan Cancer Support by encouraging many of their care home to raise money for the charity in different ways including coffee mornings and quizzes.
Well done to Daryl for a brilliant effort last week at the NACC Care Cook of the Year finals at Unilever Food Solution’s development kitchen in Leatherhead. Although he didn’t make it to the podium he produced excellent dishes and Christine Hamilton, Executive Chef for Four Seasons Health Care said “I can certainly testify that his pork terrine and sage cream tasted wonderful alongside the black pudding and crushed potatoes, a fabulous combination. Now that he has tasted the excitement and euphoria of competition I’m sure we’ll be hearing more of Daryl in the future”.
Two residents from Whitecraigs Care Home in Glasgow were taken to the Armed Forces Day in George Square on Saturday 30th June by the Personal Activities Leader Alison Connelly. They had a fantastic day waving at the crowds as they joined the parade. Mr Stewart's family wished to convey their thanks to Alison for giving her father one of the best days he has had in years!
Cherry Trees Care Home residents and relatives were out to cheer on the Olympic Torch as it travelled through Yorkshire recently as part of the route passed close to the home. Debby Owen the Home Manager, Tony Marriott, David Atack and his wife Gill were among the crowd waiting for the chance to see the Torch. They braved the weather armed with flags to wave and cheer on the Torch Bearer.
