June 21st 2013 saw the UK's care homes take centre stage, uniting for the first time ever to create lasting links between care home residents and their local communities. On National Care Home Open Day Charlton Park Care Home in Charlton, London opened up their home and held a full day packed with activities, followed by the unveiling of their recently achieved PEARL plaque. (PEARL is a Four Seasons Health Care accreditation scheme which delivers specialised person centre dementia care).

June 21st 2013 saw the UK's care homes take centre stage, uniting for the first time ever to create lasting links between care home residents and their local communities. On National Care Home Open Day Yatton Hall Care Home in North Somerset opened up their home with a 1950s themed day with all staff in costume. There was Music, discussion, news clips and a Buffet with 'Food of the Fifties', with a performance from Elvis Presley. The day went down well; Staff, Residents and their Families really enjoyed the whole day.

On National Care Home Open Day Heron House Care Home in Cambridgeshire opened up their home and held a Garden Party with BBQ Food, various Garden Games and Musical Entertainment.

On National Care Home Open Day Summerdale Court Care Home in Newham, London opened up their home and held a Garden Party with food, traditional costume and entertainment.

Following its acquisition by Terra Firma last year, Four Seasons Health Care has undertaken a review of its strategy. As a result it plans to restructure its organisation to focus on developing its business in three strategic areas: dementia care; private residential and nursing care and specialised services in mental health, brain injury and neurodisability.
