On Friday 26 September 2014, Sandringham Care Home in Northern Ireland held a fundraising event for Macmillan’s 'World's Biggest Coffee Morning' and raised the amazing sum of £675.20. Tea, coffee and cakes were served to residents, relatives and staff who attended the event. Guests were given the opportunity to write a message, a prayer or a get well note on a ‘Macmillan’ balloon for the balloon release which took place in the courtyard.

Holybourne Day Centre was recently presented with two prestigious Four Seasons Health Care ROCK (Recognition Of Care and Kindness) Awards for Day Centre Carer, Alex Lee and Deputy Manager, Nicola Hawkins for showing an exemplary standard of care towards their clients. The Award is particularly deserved as winners are nominated by service users and relatives.

On Tuesday 22 September 2014, central office held their very own ‘Great Four Seasons Bake Off’ event for Macmillan’s 'World's Biggest Coffee Morning' and raised £169. Tea, coffee and cakes were served, as well as a selection of cakes that were entered into the bake off. People had to pay a fee to enter their cake in the competition and others paid to taste and judge. All the entries were judged on taste and presentation.

A number of staff at Windsor House Care Home have recently completed Hednesford Park’s ‘It’s a Knockout’ assault course raising over £200 for the residents fund. Two teams from Windsor House took part in the assault course and out of a total of 18 teams, ‘The Chasers’ come 16th and the ‘Warriors’ joint 10th. They were the only group to dress up and both teams managed to get covered several bruises and meet lots of new friends and associates from various sectors. Relatives and residents also attended and you can see from the photos just how much fun they had cheering on both teams.

All residents, their families and the local community were recently invited to join Pennine Lodge Care Home in Carlisle for their annual fun day. It is a fundraising event that is held not only to raise money for the resident social fund, but also to give something back to the local community to thank them for all of their support throughout the year.
