Kingswood Lodge Care Home in Wotton-under-Edge was a hive of activity as it held its Christmas Fair.

Jana Vaskova, Home Manager, said: “Everyone has a great time at the fair. It was perfect to get those last minute stocking fillers. We had musical entertainment provide by the local scouts who sang an array of Christmas carols in their beautiful angelic voices. Christmas has definitely arrived at Kingswood Lodge. I want to thank everyone who came and made the day a success.”

Residents, relatives and the care team at Howdon Care Centre in Wallsend enjoyed a lovely Christmas treat as the Denbigh Primary School Choir came carol singing.

Ruth Todd, Home Manager, said: “The residents really enjoyed listening and singing along with the carols. Before the children left they had the chance to meet our resident pet therapy dog. They loved meeting him, and he loved getting all the fuss and attention from the children. I want to thank the Denbigh Primary School Choir for taking the time to come and perform for us.”

The Christmas party was in full swing at Campsie View Care Home in Glasgow.

Katy Jenks, Home Manager, explained: “Everyone wore their best festive attire and enjoyed singing and dancing. All the favourite Christmas songs were played and everyone enjoyed celebrating Christmas time in this way. It was one of the best Christmas parties we’ve thrown to date at Campsie View.”

Hallgarth-Care-Home-Durham-Carols-2016

Sixteen festive students from Gray College popped in to do some carolling at Hallgarth Care Home in Durham.

Angela Muir, Home Manager, said: “Everyone was invited to the carol service. It was attended by residents, relatives and friends of the home. Favourites old and new were sung and everyone joined in making the afternoon go with a swing.

The students regularly come into the home and do a range of activities with the residents. The friendships that have blossomed are beautiful to see.”
