A relative and regular visitor to Murrayfield Care Home in London very kindly wrote and dedicated a poem to the home after being so impressed by the care and support given by the team. The poem is titled ‘Murrayfield My Home’ and was put together by Charmain Ingleton –

Murrayfield a place called home

I’m happy now I’m no longer alone.

Feeling relaxed as I watch TV

A carer comes in with a fresh cup of tea.

The friendly faces I see around

Still moan and groan but it’s a familiar sound.

But I feel warm and safe within these walls

I’ve never know a better home.

For Murrayfield a home to me

Murrayfield the place I like to be.

All the team at Murrayfield have been touched at this kind gesture and will remember it forever more.

Kate, originally from Bath, has lived near Bristol since she was a young girl where she met her husband Bill. The couple married and went on to have 2 children – she is now a Great-Great-Grandma. Kate is very musical and loves to play the piano and have a sing along – she is also quite handy when it comes to dress making.

Karolina Bialecka-Sokol, Home Manager, told us “We all had a fabulous day for a fabulous lady. Kate had a wonderful day celebrating her birthday with everyone here at the home. We had a cake made for her which she loved. Happy Birthday Kate!”
