The sun had his hat on at Woodcot Lodge’s Summer Fete in Gosport last week.
Vickie Wylde, Home Manager, explained: “We had lots of things for people of all ages to enjoy. We welcomed some animal visitors, with the puppy being a huge hit with everyone. The baby Bearded Dragon wasn’t to everyone’s taste unfortunately, but still got its fair share of cuddles.
“We played various games and had different stalls that people could peruse, which made the overall event a great success. We even managed to raise a staggering £450 to provide special resident experiences for the people in our care. I want to say a big thank you to everyone who participated in our event and helped to make it a success.”

Everyone loves a good laugh, and this was certainly the case for those at Laurels Lodge Care Home in Woodside.
Residents, relatives and the team all got into the spirit of International Joke Day with laughter bellowing out from all areas of the home.
Marlene Smith, Personal Activities Leader, said: “We held a tea party which was attended by everyone in the home. There were lots of jokes shared, with some people even doing a little bit of stand-up comedy. Everyone really enjoyed the event and the room was filled with laughter. After everyone had finished laughing we then had some music and a bit of a dance which was a nice way to end the afternoon.”

Residents from Lunardi Court Care Home in Cupar made the most of the lovely summer weather we had last week.
Sam Brown, Deputy Home Manager, explained: “The residents and team spent a lovely afternoon in our garden. They enjoyed homemade scones, baked with love by our residents washed down with a nice cold glass of juice. They amused themselves by playing a little game of ring toss. The aim of the game saw the residents pit themselves against the care team, whoever ‘hooked’ the most rings around the plastic frogs won. It’s safe to say the residents wiped the floor with the care team. A lovely afternoon was had by all and it was nice to enjoy some warm weather.”
