Dounemount celebrations for Care Home Open Day were extra special this year, as the home also celebrated being open for 25 years.

“It wasn’t just the home that we celebrated,” explained Sylvia Nicoll, Regional Manager for Four Seasons Grampian. “The Home Manager Kay Robertson and Lorna Matthews have been at Dounemount since it opened. I want to say a huge congratulations to these two, because it’s not very often you hear of two people serving 25 years with the same home.

“This has made celebrating Care Home Open Day extra special this year. I want to thank local councillor John Cox and Stewart Stevenson MSP for coming to the home and presenting our two ladies with their long service awards.”

As well as celebrating the awards, the residents were treated to singing and music by a local entertainer, to add to the party atmosphere.
