Wednesday 19th October 2016, saw gentleman Cliff Penrose, currently residing in Riverside View Care Home in Darlington celebrated his 103rd birthday.
Claire Westmorland, Home Manager said: “Everyone at the home helped Cliff to celebrate his birthday. We were all singing and dancing, before coming together to sing happy birthday to him. His family attended the party and said we’d celebrated in style, making Cliff very proud.”
Everyone at Four Seasons wishes you many happy returns Cliff.

Residents at Langley Park Care Home in Langley Park have been getting into the Christmas spirit by helping wrap some Christmas presents already!
Sharon Smith, Home Manager, said: “The residents have been busy being Santa’s little helpers getting the presents wrapped and ready to send to him. The residents have told me it’s never too early to start Christmas wrapping, and it helps people to be organised.”

Five team members from Cumbrae Lodge Care Home in Irvine were commended for their long service at a recent awards ceremony.
Victor Dewson, Regional Manager for Glasgow and Clyde presented Musah Awando (Nurse). Isabel Jackson (Nurse) Anne Gardner (Chef), Mary McKee (Catering Assistant) and Dorothy Riddell (Administrator) with their awards.
Victor Dewson said: “I want to thank everyone for their tireless dedication to making a difference for the residents on a daily basis. You should be very proud of your achievements.”

Two team members from Woodcot Lodge Care Home in Gosport have been awarded ROCK awards for their dedication and care shown to their residents and families.
Sarah Bassindale and Paige Sims were presented with their Recognition Of Care and Kindness Award by Home Manager Vickie Wylde.
Vickie said: “I’m very proud of these two ladies. It’s fantastic that they’ve been commended this way and these awards are very well deserved.”
A ROCK award is a nationwide honour that specifically highlights the impact a Four Season Health Care employee has made on the lives of people living in one of their care homes. An internal prize, staff are nominated for an award by either residents, their relatives or friends, who have witnessed or experienced staff members demonstrating excellent standards of care and kindness in their role.

Residents at Hesslewood House Care Home in Hessle whooped for joy as their World Animal Day celebrations saw some lovely owls swoop in.
Michelle Pepworth, Home Manager, explained: “World Animal Day gave us an excuse to bring in an organisation who showed our residents a variety of birds. Our residents got hands on stroking and holding the owls whilst finding out all there is to know about them.”
World Animal Day is celebrated on 4th October each year and aims to raise the status of animals to improve their welfare standards around the globe, making the world a better place for them.
