Hallgarth Care Home in Durham had the pleasure of welcoming N’dulgence for a smooth Friday afternoon of live music.
The band is made up of Mike Cope and Brenda on vocals and John and Richard on guitar. Mike is the husband of Hallgarth resident Anne Cope, who sat pride of place in the front row and invited other residents, family and friends along to watch the show with her.
Angela Muir, Home Manager, said: “A range of music was played, country, jazz, show tunes and classics to name a few. The band is used to playing ‘The Sage’ in Newcastle so it’s an honour for us when they come along to Hallgarth to perform. A lovely afternoon was had by all.”

The care team at North Court Care Home in Bury St Edmunds have been helping residents keep in touch with their families via Facetime.
Ieleen Belen, Home Manager, explains: “John Lancaster stays in touch with his daughter Jane by means of FaceTime every week. Jane who lives in Bournemouth loves being able to see and speak to her dad on a regular basis.
“This is a great way of families keeping in touch when there is some distance between them. The next session with another resident will see their granddaughter getting married in Italy. Everyone will have their hats and bubby at the ready.
“Facetime is one of the ways that the team here at North Court try and go above and beyond to provide special experiences and make a difference to the lives of people in their care. I’m extremely proud of my team for using all of the tools in their kit to help our residents.”
