Izzy the Pet Therapy dog has been keeping the residents at Bon Accord Care Home in Hove busy, as she continues to regularly pop in for a fuss and a play.
Barbara Evans, Home Manager, said: “Izzy is a firm favourite with the residents and the team here. She is a boxer cross who will do anything for a biscuit. She comes in every other week to visit, and is happy to be stroked. The residents especially like Izzy because her coat is so soft. Pet Therapy is a fantastic activity for everyone to get involved in as it can have a soothing effect on those who are taking part in it.”

Residents from Marlborough Court Care Home in Thamesmead met up with pupils from Bishop John Robinson Primary School’s reception class.
Louise Hulme, Home Manager, said: “It was a lovely day. The children and residents came together for a story telling activity that the children have been learning in school. Once the story telling was over, everyone enjoyed some arts and crafts as well as swapping stories. Before the children left we all had a good old sing song. It was a lovely afternoon, and we’re hoping as these visits become more regular some lovely relationships will blossom.”
