Two members of the team at Campsie View Care Home in Glasgow have successfully completed their Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQ) Level 2.
SVQs are based on national standards which are drawn up by people from industry, commerce and education. They are badges or benchmarks of competence, so they work as a guarantee that someone who holds an SVQ can do the job the qualification covers.
Denise Gorrian and Milka Sullivan celebrated their success at a special ceremony. Katy Jenks, Home Manager, said: “I’m very proud of these two ladies. They’ve worked really hard and thoroughly deserve this recognition. The skills they’ve learnt will further enhance the care they give to the residents here at Campsie View, which from what I can see is an added bonus, as the team here are already doing a fantastic job.”
