Bickleigh Down Care Home in Plymouth recently recognised the first-rate level of care that Care Assistant, Sylvia Szczygiel brings to her role everyday by awarding her a Recognition of Caring and Kindness (ROCK) Award. Sylvia was presented with her award in front of her colleagues and peers by Home Manager, Georgina Linnell.
Sylvia was nominated by a resident's relative who found Sylvia to be a particularly sensitive and mindful carer for both their relative and other residents at Bickleigh Down Care Home. Sylvia consistently displays kindness, patience and good nature and they had no hesitation in nominating her for this award.
A ROCK Award is a nationwide honour that specifically highlights the impact a Four Seasons Health Care employee has made on the lives of people living in one of their care homes. An internal prize where staff are nominated for an award by either residents, their relatives or friends, who have witnessed or experienced staff members demonstrating excellent standards of care and kindness in their role.
Home Manager, Georgina Linnell said: "I am very pleased to reward Sylvia in this way, she works very hard and it's nice to see her recognised for her efforts. We have a great team here at Bickleigh Down and I am honoured to work with each and every one of them."
