Christine Hamilton, Group Executive Chef, and David Richards, Chef Trainer, have been named Catering Team of the Year at the National Association of Care Catering (NACC) annual awards. They were recognised for their dedication and commitment to residents, founded on the understanding of care and individual needs, choice and wellbeing. They received the award in front of 200 peers at a special dinner at the East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham.
Congratulations also to Hillview Care Home in Rawtenstall and catering partners Elior, who were runners-up for Care Establishment of the Year.
The prestigious NACC annual awards highlight the great work undertaken by care providers and caterers, and every winner shows true commitment to delivering the very highest standards of catering to meet often specialised individual needs in a respectful manner.
Neel Radia, National Chair, NACC comments: “Every individual and team has pushed the boundaries to deliver excellence and give service users the very best catering care available. Catering in care environments demands specific knowledge and skills. From nutrition and hydration to special diets and feeding limitations, care providers and caterers must consistently deliver at all levels, whilst also ensuring the dignity of every individual. Over the past 12 months we have seen incredible examples of catering provision that meets every need and more, and respects the exact requirements and character of each and every person.”
