Wordsworth’s Daffodils inspire art and poetry in Durham

Residents at Hallgarth Care Home in Durham enjoy partaking in their regular poetry club. One poem that is a firm favourite amongst all of the members is Wordsworth’s ‘Daffodils’. In honour of this poem, the art club decided to create a lovely collage of daffodils to illustrate the poem the poetry club love so much.

Angela Muir, Home Manager, said: “Sheila Stones had the honour of putting the collage together. Everyone else was ecstatic when it was finished, and now the poem have joined the Hallgarth gallery, and is proudly on display for everyone to see. The poetry club were really happy and have commissioned a few more pieces from the art club.”
