April 2017 saw Four Seasons’ Health Care Grampian Region launch their VIP (Values In Practice) initiative which rewards people for living the Four Seasons values of being:
- and Making a Difference
Sharon Gillan, Senior Nurse Care Assistant at Havencourt Care Home in Stonehaven has been crowned VIP for the month of April after being nominated by colleagues, residents and relatives.
Rhona McGregor, Home Manager, said: “Sharon was our VIP for April because she is a very caring person who is lovely with the residents. It was lovely reading the comments people wrote about her explaining why they felt she deserved this recognition, a stand out comment which was echoed in numerous different forms said 'Sharon has made a great difference within the dementia unit and is a trusted and respectful member of staff'. Well done Sharon, you really are our VIP.”
Sylvia Nicoll, Regional Manager for Grampian, said: “No matter how big or small the action or the gesture is, the VIP Awards are an opportunity to say thank you to people who go above and beyond the call of duty every day to make a difference to our residents’ lives.
“Congratulations Sharon, you should be really proud of your success.”
