Gary Cousins, Infection Control and Clinical Development Nurse at Four Seasons Health Care NI, is running an Infection Protection and Control day for nursing link staff at a number of Four Seasons care homes today, 17th September 2015.
The focus of the day is to improve the effectiveness of the link role, and to drive quality improvements in day to day nursing practice. Four Seasons are delighted to have the involvement of Rose Gallagher, Infection Control Adviser from the Royal College of Nursing as part of the day. Rose is running a workshop called ‘build a link person’ which asks link staff to assess their capabilities and limitations in communicating with and influencing others.
Other focuses of the day will be on ‘using clinical audits effectively - quality improvement versus quality assurance’ and ‘A Clostridium Difficile outbreak- what did we learn?’.
