All you need is love, love, love

Love is in the air at our Four Season Care Homes as our residents celebrate Valentine’s Day with flowers, love letters, and lots of dancing.

Home decorations were made during arts and crafts sessions, the residents made handmade hearts on which they each wrote a message to someone they truly loved. These hearts are hung around the homes to help spread the love.

Art club at Evedale Care Home was very excited for Valentine’s Day; they created a display using paint, card, and other creative materials they could get their hands on. The display showcases what the residents at Evedale think are the most important aspects of love and why Valentine’s Day is important to them.

It was music and dancing at Park House Care Home as residents enjoyed listening to live music sang by our entertainer. Residents’ coupled up and slow danced to songs by Frank Sinatra and Louis Armstrong.

At Charnwood Care Home, things are getting romantic with resident couple, Earnest and Meryl Dunthorne. The married couple surprised one another with Valentines’ cards and heart-shaped baked cookies.

Merly said, “I always remember to get Earnest a card, it shows I still love him. And I do very much!”
