Some of our residents at Redwell Hills Care Home went on a day trip to Beamish Museum and had a wonderful time. We had traditional fish and chips wrapped in newspaper as well as ice cream! The tram ride was a particular highlight for everyone.
This was resident Joan’s first trip since joining us at Redwell Hills and so we had to show her how much fun we have on our adventures. Joan, aged 87, said, “I’ve had a wonderful time with the girls! They are brilliant with me and make me feel at ease.”
Team Member Niamh added, “It’s brilliant getting to play such a big part in our residents’ lives. Seeing them smile makes you feel proud of yourself and your job!”
Redwell Hills Care Home is located in Consett, Durham, and provides residential care, dementia care and respite care.
