Beamish visit for Hollie Hill

Residents from Hollie Hill Care Home spent a lovely morning at Beamish Museum in the 1950s cottage for a workshop visit.

The cottage holds six people and we toasted bread on an open fire and reminisced about the past.  We then had a chance to talk  about some mystery items from the past, some of which looked quite barbaric!

Audrey Topping really enjoyed her visit and chose an old iron as her favourite item in the room.

It was very rewarding to hear the memories come flooding back and the laughter from everyone.
