Laurels Lodge Care Home in Aberdeen took part in this year's National Care Home Open Day and invited visitors to come and join residents and staff in the home for the morning.
Care Home Open Day is celebrated each year by care homes across the country. It aims to encourage stronger relationships between care homes and the local community and provides a chance for people to see what life inside a home is really like.
Snacks and refreshments were prepared for visitors and residents, relatives and staff enjoyed some time out playing ball games together.
As it was a warm and sunny day, many residents took the opportunity to spend some time in the garden and enjoy the sunshine.
Home Manager Sheila Gesma said:
"This is what care home life is all about; being there for the people we provide care for and doing the little things that make them happy. It was such a pleasure to see our residents smiling and sharing a good laugh with staff from across the team."
