A number of residents together with Activity Therapist Victoria recently designed and created a new art display for the front hall way of Castle Lodge Care Home in Antrim, centred around love, family, friends and our home.
The residents made beautiful book markers and decorated them and created a beautiful heart shaped frame in which they placed photographs of residents. They also made some gorgeous candle holders out of clay.
The centrepiece of the display is a large frame surrounded by small heart-shaped pieces of wood, made as a joint effort residents, visitors and staff. Called the 'sharing caring frame,' it's a place for residents, staff, families and visitors to leave little messages or share special thoughts.
Everyone involved really enjoyed this art project and the meaning associated with it.
